2017 Naperville Evening Kiwanis North Central College CKI Officer Induction 

 

On Wednesday April 5th CKI Installation Banquet was held at North Central College in Naperville. In the first quarter of this year CKI merged with Cardinals in Action group.

2016 Naperville Evening Kiwanis Scholarship Recipients

 

Awards are granted annually to graduating seniors of our Key Club High Schools: Metea Valley and Waubonsie Valley. The purpose of this award is to recognize students for their display of leadership, community service, and successful educational efforts in furtherance of their education. To be eligible for this award the candidate must be a Key Club member in good standing and plan to attend a college or university in the upcoming school year. The Kiwanis club seeks to recognize educational achievement equally with leadership and community service. 

During this year's award ceremony Bob Horton, Chair of the Scholarship Committee, introduced the  Scholarship recipients and each of them made a short presentation about their involvement in Key Club and where they plan to attend college/university.

 

Congratulations to the following scholarship recepients. 

 

 

 

 

Isabella Ospina, from Waubonsie planning to attend UIC; Kara Leckinger, from Metea planning to attend Miami U in Ohio; Leah Williams, from Waubonsie planning to attend TCU; and Isabel Lohman, from Metea planning to attend Missouri U.

Commitment To Making A Difference

Graham Novak President of Naperville North Key Club received the Congressional Award Silver Medal, from Congressman Bill Foster, for his commitment to service and personal development. Graham is the 2014-2015 Governor for the entire Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Key Club International!  He was I-I District Secretary for Key Club International for the 2013-2014 year.  Graham is a fine young leader and an outstanding example of all that's good about Kiwanis and the Kiwanis family of clubs. Fighting Cancer on Two Wheels. Grace Deetjen a Naperville North graduate and Key Club member is an engineering student at U of Illinois. This past summer she was involved in a volunteer project called the Illini 4000. She joined a group of 20 cyclists from the U in a charity ride from New York to San Francisco. Their goal was to raise $150,000 for cancer research and helping those who have or have had cancer. See this 'incredible' 4,000-mile bike journey http://news360.com/article/252414337
